Little T Squares Dance Club
www.LittleTSquares.com

Chartered in 1976, Little T Squares' members have been a part of Lenoir City, Loudon County, and the surrounding area, including Tellico Village, for nearly 50 years.
Our members enjoy the exercise, fun and fellowship that square dancing provides. It is easy to learn, entertaining, encompassing many styles of music, and very healthy for both your mind and body.
The Little Ts (named for the Little T River) dance at the Memorial Building in the old town area of Lenoir City. Click here for directions. Our dances are held every third Friday. from 7:00 to 9:30 pm. (Visit our website for directions and more information about the club.)

We are ... Friendship set to Music

Despite what you may remember from school, this is not old-time barn dancing. Modern Western Square Dancing is both challenging and mentally stimulating. It is also probably more fun than you can ever imagine. All ages can do it - and do!

It is a wonderful activity for everyone – young and old. Many couples refer to it as their “date night”, because it provides them an opportunity do something together, in the company of other couples, while having wonderful time. It’s no fluke that square dancing is referred to as “Friendship Set to Music”.

Little Ts offer dance levels from Social Square Dancing to Plus. Between tips (our name for pairs of dances) we sometimes offer either line dancing or round dancing.

Want to learn to Square Dance?

Little T Squares starts our new beginners classes in late August - early September of each year and continues until December. Sessions are at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evenings at the War Memorial Building in Lenoir City (Click here for directions).

Classes for the 2023 Fall season begin on August 29, 2023 and go through December 19th.

What If Everything You Thought You Knew About
Square Dancing Was Probably WRONG?
Try Social Square Dancing. It’s not what you did in Junior High!
What If,
It wasn’t only country music with banjos, fiddles and guitars?
Oh, Wait...It’s Not!
Sure we still dance to country music, but we also dance to Rock, Jazz, Pop, Blues, and anything with a 4/4 beat!

What If,
It wasn’t just for senior citizens?
Oh, Wait...It’s Not!
Square dancers range in age from 8 to 80 and beyond!
Sure you can find dances at senior centers, but there are also groups for churches, for teens and even at grade schools!

What If,
I’ve got two left feet?
Oh, Wait...That’s Not a Problem!
Bring them both! Your feet just follow your hands at a square dance.

What If,
It didn’t take months to learn?
Oh, Wait...It’s Doesn’t!
You can walk into a beginners group and be dancing right away. You don’t have to ever learn more.
If you WANT to learn more, you can learn the entire Social Square Dance program in about 12 visits.

What If,
You didn’t have to wear all those bolo ties, belt buckles, and poofy skirts?
Oh, Wait...You Don’t!!
Most groups dance in casual clothes. Some major festivals and performance groups still feature the “traditional” outfits, but it’s almost never required.

What If,
It was good for you?
Oh, Wait...It Is!
Square Dancing is both great physical and mental exercise.
Physically you’ll walk a couple of miles every time you dance.
Mentally, the constant flow of calls will challenge your mind.

What If,
It wasn’t the same 10 boring movements over and over again?
Oh, Wait...Try HUNDREDS of variations!
Social Square Dancing uses 50 moves that are woven together in an ever-changing tapestry of dance.
If you want even more variety, you can dance up to 5000 moves at higher square dance levels.

What If,
You’ve run out of reasons to try it?
Oh, Wait...NO...Don’t Wait! Come try it out. The intro is FREE!
Classes for the 2023 Fall season begin on August 29, 2023 and go through December 19th.
