Muddy Boots - Little Briar Trail to Walker Sisters

Monday, October 9, 2023 (Rain date October 16)

Hike Description:  The trail is out and back on the Little Briar Gap Trail hike, located in Metcalf Bottoms portion of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park.  The trail features historical buildings, occasional wildlife and seasonal wildflowers.  At the Walker Sisters cabin we will take a break for a bit of history and information regarding the cabin and the people that lived there.  The crisp fall air, relatively short distance combined with minimal elevation gain makes this a great option for novice hikers.  A stop at the historic schoolhouse will provide a break plus some fascinating Eastern Tennessee history.

Length of Hike:  4.0 miles     Elevation Change:  465 feet     Rated:  Easy
