Enjoy the fall leaves on this 50-mile round trip through the Cherokee National Forest and the beautiful lower Hiwassee River gorge. This 4-hour trip will take you to the top of the famous "Hiwassee Loop" where the tracks cross over themselves as they corkscrew up the mountain near Farner, Tennessee.

Departure Information: We will meet promptly at 12:30PM at the L & N Depot located at 727 Tennessee Ave. South, Etowah, TN 37331.
The depot is 45 minutes and 33 miles from Tellico Village. Parking is on the right side of the depot.
I will provide your ticket to you in the lobby of the depot between 12:30 PM and 12:45 PM. After you get your ticket, and while we wait on the other New Villager’s, you may tour the museum in the depot.
At 1:00 PM, you will board a bus and be taken to the train which is about a 10-minute drive.
Departure time is 1:30 PM. Return is approximately 6:15 PM.

Other Information: Snack items are available for sale on the train including soft drinks, coffee, water, chips, crackers, and candy bars. Restrooms are located on each train car. Trains consist of enclosed, climate-controlled coaches pulled by a diesel locomotive. Coach seating is open.
