WATeR - 25th Anniversary Celebration

WATeR [Watershed Association of the Tellico Reservoir] is celebrating 25 years of protecting Tellico Lake, its surrounding watershed, and the East Lakeshore Trail - and we would love for you to join us.

On April 9, 2026, from 12–2 PM at the Yacht Club in Tellico Village, we will gather to honor our founders, present the inaugural WATeR Founders’ Award for Outstanding Service to WATeR’s surviving founders Bill and Marjorie Waldrop, and launch the Bill and Marjorie Waldrop Environmental Leadership Scholarship for a Sequoyah High School student.

Community Guest celebration tickets are available for $25.

For those who wish to provide additional support, 25th Anniversary Sponsorship opportunities are also available at the Anniversary, Bronze, Silver, and Gold sponsorship levels ($50-$1,000). Sponsorships underwrite the event and ensure that the greatest possible portion of support go to advance:

• Water quality monitoring and protection programs
• Lakeshore cleanup initiatives
• Maintenance and enhancement of the 31-mile East Lakeshore Trail, a National Recreation Trail
• Environmental education and student stewardship programs
• Protecting and preserving the natural beauty of the Tellico Reservoir for future generations
